July 2011 San Francisco Office Market Recap

Transamerica Horizontal

The market activity has increased dramatically in both sales and leasing categories during the month of July.  Clearly asking rents and taking rents are increasing in the leasing markets, with significant tenants taking down large chunks of space.  On the capital markets side, there appears still to be money to place as several well known buyers continue to pursue and purchase both vacant and fully leased assets.

Below you will find a list of links that point to the top stories of the month.  Dropbox has grown from roughly 11K sqft to lease 87,500 sqft at 185 Berry, the Transportation Commission appears to have chose 390 Main Street as its future home, Kilroy & Cornerstone have both purchased excellent office buildings, while AT&T, Demandforce, and Aecom have all signed new leases.
